On November 13, Surplus Outlet of Northumberland, launched a campaign to “Stuff the Truck” with non-perishable food and supplies to help support Hurricane Sandy victims in New Jersey. The campaign was conducted at all three Surplus Outlet locations (Montgomery, Northumberland and Berwick) and ran from November 13-16, with all the supplies being collected and sent to a grassroots organization known as Rebuild & Recover of Red Bank, NJ. Watsontown Trucking Company Opening a Canada Service Center
Watsontown Trucking Company (WTC) is pleased to announce that it has opened a Canada service center in Buffalo, New York. On April 2, the facility will begin operations and will serve as a relay point for shipments moving in and out of Ontario, Canada. Currently Watsontown Trucking Company has staffed the service center with six drivers and the expectation is for the facility to employ ten drivers by the end of April 2012.

Watsontown Trucking Adding 10,000 Square Feet and 25 New Jobs
Watsontown Trucking Company (WTC), which has been located in the Milton Industrial Park since 2004, is pleased to announce that they have purchased 14 additional acres in the Industrial Park for further expansion. Steve Patton, President, estimated that an additional 10,000 square feet of office space and maintenance facilities will be added. Secretary of Defense Patriotic Employer
WTC received a Patriotic Employer award from the Secretary of Defense. The award was granted for “contributing to National security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.” The award, granted by the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), is given to managers, supervisors or companies in appreciation for their support of its deployed military employees.

WTC was the recipient of the Silver National Safety Award, awarded by Great West Casualty Company. Great West is the premier provider of insurance products and services for truckers and they specialize in insurance products exclusively for the trucking industry. The award recognizes WTC’s outstanding achievement in highway traffic safety for the years 2009 and 2010.
