On November 13, Surplus Outlet of Northumberland, launched a campaign to “Stuff the Truck” with non-perishable food and supplies to help support Hurricane Sandy victims in New Jersey. Watsontown Trucking Company (WTC) is pleased to announce that it has opened a Canada service center in Buffalo, New York. On April 2, the facility will begin operations and will serve as a relay point for shipments moving in and out of Ontario, Canada. Currently Watsontown Trucking Company has staffed the service center with six drivers and the expectation is for the facility to employ ten drivers by the end of April 2012.

WTC received a Patriotic Employer award from the Secretary of Defense. The award was granted for “contributing to National security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.” The award, granted by the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), is given to managers, supervisors or companies in appreciation for their support of its deployed military employees.
